William “Bill” “Boney” Rathbun, age 79 of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Bill was born on Tuesday, April 22, 1947, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Max and Doris (Cleveland) Rathbun.
He was the husband of the late Cathy (Favinger) Rathbun, who passed away in 2016.
Bill worked as a welder for his own business at Will’s Jobbing Shop. He also worked as an electrician at Ward Manufacturing for over 50 years. He had a passion for welding and was well known in the area for the quality of his work. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge 350 in Blossburg, PA.
Bill is survived by his son, William “Will” A. Rathbun II of Mansfield, PA; and brother, Jim Rathbun of Mills River, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA.
