Susan Marie (Cole) Bencus, 68. Of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in her home surrounded by family. She was born on Thursday, September 19, 1957, in Corning, NY, to Duane and Barbara (Teed) Cole.
She graduated from high school, and on June 3, 1978, she married Stanley “Sandy” Bencus. Together they owned and operated the Pettecoat Junction Campground. Susan enjoyed crafting, gardening, flowers, and bird watching, but was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son: Jeremy (Tanya) Bencus of Wellsboro; two grandchildren: Jacob Bencus, and Tucker Bencus; and a sister: Lori (Timothy) Klaiber. Susan was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no public services, and her arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA 16901.
