Frank Louis Sansone, age 81 of Knoxville, PA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1944 in Trenton, NJ and was a son to the late Louis and Mary (D’ermilio) Sansone.
After graduating high school Frank went on to attend college where he received his accounting degree. He was an accountant for the state of New Jersey for several years. Later on he went on to become a New Jersey state trooper.
On October 29, 1993 Frank married Louise B. Oxenham and they spent 32 loving years together. Frank was also an Army Veteran, having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
For a while he was a member of the River Valley Golf Club in Westfield, PA where he enjoyed playing in the Leagues. Frank truly enjoyed his retirement; one of his favorite pastimes was watching the deer and other animals from his living room window.
Frank was a deeply devoted husband and family man. He loved when he got to spend time with his children and grandchildren and doting on his loving wife.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Sansone; children, Jacqueline Rafferty, Anthony (Jenny) Rafferty, and John Rafferty; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis Sansone; and as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by both his parents.
At this time, no services are to be held. At the family’s convenience a celebration of life will be held at a later date – with more information to follow. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
