Barbara “Barb” Ann Sargent, age 67, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her home. She was born on September 10, 1958 at the Blossburg State Hospital in Blossburg, PA, She was a daughter of Leo and Stella M. (Chilson) Sargent.
Barb graduated from Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing in 1979 and then worked at Hershey Medical Center in the ICU. After moving back to Mansfield, she worked for Laurel Home Health and Hospice as an RN supervisor for 30 years. Barb was a member of Community of Grace Fellowship. She enjoyed crafting and making cards.
Barb is survived by her brothers, Ronald Sargent of Mansfield, PA, and Fred (JoLyn) Sargent of Mansfield, PA; a sister, Annette (Dennis) Hallock of Mansfield, PA; and a nephew, Denny Hallock II of Mansfield, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Nathan Sargent.
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor George Zerbe officiating.
