WELLSBORO, PA – Early Friday morning, July 31, 2026, around 5:18 AM Wellsboro EMS and Medics were requested by Pennsylvania State Police to Delmar Township for a gunshot victim. As EMS crews were enrought they were recalled by police by 5:36 AM.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, they are currently investigating an incident that took place in the 5700 Block of Route 287 in Delmar Township.
Police reported that upon their arrival, an identified 61-year-old female was found deceased. An identified 62-year-old male was said to have been involved was transported to the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Mansfield, PA, for further (questioning) in their investigation.
Presently there is no known threat to the public. This investigation continues and more information will be provided at a later time.
