Single Vehicle Crash Reported in Westfield

WESTFIELD, PA – Westfield Police, Crary Hose Company out Westfield, Clymer Hose Company out Sabinsville and a Sabinsville ambulance all responded to a single vehicle accident late Tuesday evening, April 21, 2026, around 10:36 PM.

The crash occurred along the Ladd Road near the Route 349 intersection. A call to the 911 Dispatch Center came from a resident living close to where the accident happened, as they had heard the wreck.

Early reports indicated that the vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a ditch. The caller was concerned for the driver who had climbed out of the vehicle but collapsed and seemed disorientated. As for the vehicle, the caller stated that it looked as if it might tip over.

Westfield Police arrived on scene first by 10:36 PM, followed by Clymer Hose and Crary Hose fire personnel who arrived at 10:39 PM. Both firefighters had reported the vehicle was off the road and in a ditch.

Westfield Police returned to his patrol at 10:41 PM, as this accident fell in the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania State Police based in Mansfield, PA.

By 10:46 PM all Clymer Hose Company units were able to be recalled as additional Crary Hose Company firefighters had arrived at the crash scene.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived on scene by 11: 08 PM. White’s Towing was requested by the driver and they arrived 20 minutes after PA State Police did.

The vehicle was disabled due to the crash; it was towed from the scene by 11:44 PM. All remaining Crary Hose fire crews were cleared to return to their station, and Sabinsville ambulance was cleared around 11:50 PM and were allowed to return to their station as they did not transport the driver to the hospital. The driver was left with Pennsylvania State Police Troopers investigating the accident.

At this time, this is the information FNN has on this crash. The incident is still being investigated and Pennsylvania State Police have not yet issued a release on this accident.
