Philip D. Breidenstein, age 86, of Westfield, PA, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, PA. He was born on September 19, 1939, in Berks County, PA, a son of Philip E. and Katherine (Hughes) Breidenstein.
Philip was the husband of the late Mary K. (Green) Breidenstein, who died in 2011. He worked as a machinist at Doehler-Jarvis in Pottstown, PA.
He was an avid hunter and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the snowmobile club and loved flowers – especially his hostas, and breeding Cocker Spaniels with his wife, Mary.
Philip is survived by his son, Philip O. (Joy) Breidenstein of Birdsboro, PA; grandchildren, Heather (Jon) Setley, Philip Breidenstein, Jr., and Nathan Breidenstein; four great grandchildren, Hayden Setley, Joshua Setley, Owen Breidenstein, and Daulton Breidenstein; sister, Beverly Ann Riegel of Birdsboro, PA, two nieces, Kris and Deb; nephew, John.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; and a daughter, Barbara Snyder in 2021.
