David Richard Knowlton, age 80, of Covington, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his home. He was born on Sunday, March 17, 1946, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Richard and Dorothea (Rose) Knowlton.
David was married to Rosa (Jimenez) Knowlton. He worked as a police officer for Mansfield University and the Mansfield Borough Police Department. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed watching sports.
David is survived by his wife, Rosa; a son, Jeremey (Brianna Shelman) Knowlton of Covington, PA; and Melissa (Loren) Smith of Weatherly, PA; and two grandchildren, Raquel Baker and Darien Knowlton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Knowlton; and three sisters, Patricia Loud, Loris Deming, and Peggy Bogaczyk.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Mansfield VFW 1208 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
