Elmira Heights Man Arrested as a Fugitive from Justice

Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Release – April 2026

CHEMUNG COUNTY, NY – The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 37-year-old, Nicholas M. Marks, of Elmira Heights, NY, as a Fugitive from Justice out of Bradford County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being charged with Violation of Parole, with a lead offense of, Endangering Welfare of Children – Parents/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, in violation of Pennsylvania Crimes Code

​On Monday, April 6, 2026, Marks was taken into custody at his place of employment, in the Village of Horseheads, by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division. The Criminal Investigations Division received the warrant from Bradford County, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, requesting that Marks be held on the warrant. he was subsequently arrested and processed as a Fugitive from Justice.

​Marks was arraigned by the Village of Horseheads Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail awaiting extradition to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
