John W. Rockwell, age 59 of Tioga, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at UPMC Wellsboro Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. John was born on Tuesday, November 29, 1966, at the Blossburg State Hospital in Blossburg, PA, a son of Leon and JoAnne (Mores) Rockwell.
Over the years he worked at the Tioga Hunting Preserve, Asplundh Tree Services, and Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY. In his spare time John enjoyed fishing and hunting
John is survived by his mother; daughter, Kayla Mead; brother, Leon “Rocky” Rockwell of TX; sister, Tina (Nathan Jones) King of Tioga, PA; nieces, Lilly Rockwell, Brooke Rockwell, and Brianna King; and nephew Dillan King. He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. John will be laid to rest at Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, PA.
