Special Recognition of Heather Chapel of Northern PA Notary Services. Written by her Daughter. Letter provided to FNN to share with our readers who know Heather Chapel – Saturday, August 1, 2026.

MANSFIELD, PA – Some of you may have known her as Heather, Ms. Chapel from her classroom, or simply, “The Notary,” but to us, she is Mom. Throughout her 28 years as a sworn notary with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, sixteen years were spent operating Northern PA Notary Services (NPANS). To set the scene: when Heather first opened the doors of NPANS in 2010, her children were in elementary, “Tik Tok: by Kesha topped the charts (followed closely by Lady A’s “Need You Now”), and Toy Story 3 dominated the box office. Shortly after commencing operations, NPANS became a staple in the community. Often referred to as “the building behind First Citizens Community Bank,” this became the go-to location for all of your notary needs.
As the years went on and the community changed, one thing remained constant; Heather’s rive to provide critical title and tag services to our rural community never diminished. Many of you know that she is a woman of a humble nature. While she managed to evade the formality of a retirement celebration—with stealth, I might add—a salute is only fitting as she turns the page on this chapter of her life. While this ledger page is full, the marvel of a notary journal is the blank pages that lie ahead, awaiting the next entry. In the words of Natasha Bedingfield, the rest is unwritten.
In closing, I would like to make a toast to Heather as she turns the page on this journal of life and begins writing the next. Whoever is reading this, please raise a glass—whether tonight or this weekend—in a salute. If you see her out and about, buy her a round; after a career committed to public service, it is well earned. Heather (M0m), thank you for sixteen years of selfless service to the Northern Tier region with Northern PA Notary Services. The long nights, forgone weekends, and countless hours were not in vain. You ingrained values and principles in your children that will lay a foundation they will continue to build upon for generations to come, all the while your dedication to service and expertise in your craft kept the wheels of the local economy driving forward.
As you embark on your next journey, may you hoist your sails with courage, enlightened by fair winds and following seas. Trust your intuition and let your passion guide you through the unknown.
Cheers!
Best wishes on your new endeavor,
Tamara, Trista, and Jake (Son-in-Law)
