James H. Brooks, age 70 of Roaring Branch, PA, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. James was born on Wednesday, January 4, 1956, in Blossburg, PA, a son of Earl and Helen (Shannon) Brooks.
He was the husband of the late Carol (Jackson) Brooks who passed on October 24, 2021. James worked for Ward Manufacturing and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming.
James is survived by his sons, Christopher Brooks of Ogdensburg, PA, and Ryan (Jamie) Brooks of Ogdensburg, PA; grandchildren, Evan and Avery; brother, Earl “Buz” (Judy) Brooks of Tioga, PA; sister, Nancy (Dale) Nauman of Tioga, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Brooks and Helen Sherman, and his wife Carol.
