Janet L. (Fleming) Wales, age 91, of Tioga, PA, formerly of Millerton, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2026, at her home. She was born on Wednesday, April 10, 1935, in Tioga, PA, the daughter of James and Letha (Wright) Fleming. Janet was married to the late Gerald “Donald” Wales.
After raising her six children, she went on to work as a phlebotomist at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, NY. She also spent many years helping her husband run their dairy farm.
She was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her life, loving children deeply and finding great joy in caring for her grandchildren, nurturing them with kindness, patience, and unwavering love.
Janet is survived by her sons, Donald (Karen) Wales of Millerton, PA, and Timothy (Lynette) Wales of Millerton, PA; four daughters, Connie McDonough of Scranton, PA, Donna (Ray) Krammes of Tioga, PA, Sandra (John) Mundro of Salorburg, PA, and Pamela (Russell) Draper of Millerton, PA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, James and Eugene Fleming; and two sons-in-law, Robert Brewer and Jeff McDonough.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 am at Millerton Wesleyan Church 5174 Main St. Millerton, PA 16936 with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating.
