Woman Injured in Wellsboro Crash

WELLSBORO, PA – A woman suffered multiple injuries in a single vehicle accident early Monday evening, April 20, 2026, when her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree.

The crash occurred near 7991 Route 6 just before the Webster Road in Delmar Township around 5:42 PM.

Wellsboro fire, ambulance crew and medics were all dispatched at 5:45 PM.

Wellsboro Fire Chief quickly arrived on scene by 5:50 PM and confirmed that one vehicle was off the roadway and had crashed into a tree. The fire chief instantly went to the aid of the injured female.

The chief learned that woman had suffered a number of injuries and she suffering neck, back and leg pain pain. The patient was loaded into the ambulance once it arrived on scene.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived on scene at 6:09 PM and started their investigation of the accident.

Just before 6:15 PM the female victim was heading out via ambulance to UPMC Wellsboro Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of her injuries.

Driscoll’s Towing would remove the vehicle from the scene by 6:44 PM and all remaining Wellsboro fire crews were able to head back to their station at the same time.
