WESTFIELD, PA – Early Tuesday evening, June 9, 2026, around 6:53 PM, Crary Hose Company, Clymer Township Volunteer Hose Company, as well as an ambulance from Sabinsville and one from Galeton were all dispatched to a two vehicle accident near the intersection of Route 49 and Route 249 in Westfield Township. It was unknown which ambulance assisted on scene.
The crash involved a pickup truck hauling a camper and small four-door sedan which partially blocked the roadway. The truck driver was the one who called 911 to notify them of the accident.
Fire personnel arrived on scene by 7:01 PM and that firefighter confirmed the two vehicles that were involved and three individuals were being checked over for possible injuries.
Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Company was next to be dispatched at 7:08 PM, to assist with traffic control at the scene.
Pennsylvania State Police arrived on scene by 7:31 PM and started their investigation into the incident.
All vehicles pertaining to the accident were moved off the roadway and the scene was turned over to state police around 7:54 PM, as all remaining fire crews from Westfield, Clymer Township and Knoxville headed back to their stations.
There were no reported injuries and the car was to be towed from scene and the pickup truck was drivable. It is unknown if the camper had to be towed from the scene or not.
