GALETON, PA – A woman and a man were injured in an ATV accident on Tuesday afternoon, September 8, 2026, at the Lyman Run State Park located at 454 Lyman Run Road in West Branch Township around 1:34 PM.
According to early reports, This crash occurred at a low speed, however, a woman in her late 40’s suffered a minor head abrasion, complained of serious hip pain, and may have suffered a knee injury. The female was at the park office. As fore the male, he was still down on the trail. It was said he suffered an arm injury.
Fire and ambulance crews from Goodyear Hose Company out of Galeton and fire crews from the Germania Fire Department were dispatched to this incident. Also a Forestry Ranger also responded to assist.
Although not much is known about the accident, fire and EMS units were starting to arrive on scene by 1:53 PM. Both victims were transported to UPMC Wellsboro Hospital for further treatment of their injuries.
