Release – January 10, 2026.
BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – Tessa Elaine Thomas, 41, of Wyalusing, PA, was recently sentenced to a minimum of nine months in State Prison to a maximum of two years, together with a $500.00 fine, for the offense of Fleeing and Eluding Police, a Felony.
Thomas was charged with the offense by Trooper Damon Barhight back in August of 2023 following a pursuit on Route 6 in Standing Stone Township. Although Thomas was successful in eluding the Trooper on the roadway, the Trooper furthered his investigation by getting video surveillance footage from a local Dandy Mini Mart showing that Thomas was the driver of the vehicle moments before the pursuit began. Thus, this conviction. At the time of the pursuit, Thomas was on probation for a case out of Lackawanna County. Due to this conviction, Thomas was resentenced in that county to a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years in State prison on those other offenses there. This Bradford County sentence was made consecutive to that, such that the Defendant’s overall incarceration should be no less than two years and nine months nor more than six years.
