MANSFIELD, PA – Around 8:27 PM Mansfield Hose Company units and EMS responded to a report of a natural gas leak at Wendy’s Restaurant located 1580 South Main Street on Tuesday evening, September 23, 2025.
The restaurant was already evacuated when Mansfield fire personnel arrived at the Richmond Township business at 8:32 PM.
UGI was notified of the issue shortly after fire crews responded to the scene.
EMS personnel checked over several individuals, however, those checked out ended up signing refusals.
UGI arrived at the restaurant by just before 9:00 PM and by 9:10 PM the scene was turned over to them by Mansfield Command. All Mansfield Hose Company units headed back to their station at that same time. Mansfield ambulance crew would return to the station a few minutes later.
