
The Wellsboro Community Concert Association’s 77th season featuring six concerts will open next Saturday, Sept. 27. Each concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in the Deane Center’s Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
WCCA’s 2025-2026 season begins with a concert on Saturday, Sept. 27 by Unspoken Tradition, a North Carolina-based quintet that is a fast-rising voice for a new generation of roots music. This five-member group performs original bluegrass at sold out shows nationwide. Their 2022 album, “Imaginary Lines,” features seven Top 20 singles. They released “Resilience,” their newest album, in 2025.
The Mudmen will perform on Saturday, Oct. 11. Together for 27 years with 11 albums and over 3000 performances, both internationally and throughout North America, they are described as a fun group. The six members of this band took inspiration from the likes of the Irish Rovers and AC/DC, and combine their Celtic sound with rock.
On Friday Nov. 7, the five-member band Driftwood, of Binghamton, New York, will perform Americana folk rock with a nod to 1960s R&B, 1970s country rock, contemporary pop, folk and traditional Appalachian music. Together since 2009, they are known for electrifying live performances.
Matthew Ball, “The Boogie Woogie Kid” is a pianist, singer and songwriter who performs fun, live music with a fresh boogie-woogie piano twist. He has more than 5 million YouTube views. Friday Dec. 12, Ball will present an upbeat program of New Orleans songs, boogie-woogie piano and swing-era favorites from the Great American Songbook, as well as several holiday tunes.
The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band (J2B2) is an all-star, bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians whose fresh twist is combining bluegrass with elements of West Coast folk rock. They will perform on Saturday April 11, 2026.
Greg Piccolo & Heavy Juice will present an unforgettable night of traditional jazz, spiced with blues, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll on Saturday April 25, 2026. Piccolo’s legendary career spans over 60 years. His skillful tenor saxophone playing, unique vocal style, and charismatic stage presence have earned him a place among the best in the industry. Heavy Juice is composed of Shinichi Otsu on organ, piano and bass and Steve Langone on drums.

Wednesday. March 11, 2026, Cherish the Ladies will perform. This all female, six-member, award winning, Grammy-nominated, Irish-American supergroup was founded in New York City in 1985 and is celebrating four decades of making Irish music, singing and dancing. They always travel with fine Irish dancers, such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance alumni. Cherish the Ladies has toured the world, played at the White House and the Olympics, and recorded 17 albums and a live DVD.
