Vehicle Crash In Middlebury Twp

MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA – A single vehicle accident was reported around 8:56 PM on Friday evening, November 7, 2025 at the intersection of Route 287 and Route 249 in Middlebury Township.

Middlebury Township Volunteer Fire Department crews and an ambulance from Wellsboro responded to the crash scene.

Middlebury fire personnel quickly arrived on scene by 8:59 PM. Fire personnel then confirmed that a vehicle had struck the guide rail and that one lane was blocked due to the accident.

FNN received word from a passing motorist, that the vehicle involved was a car and that debris was all over the roadway. However, FNN could not confirm that information at the time of this article being released.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived shortly by 9:09 PM and spoke with the driver as the Trooper gathered information for the crash report. Meanwhile the ambulance from Wellsboro was able to return back to their station as the driver involved in the accident signed a refusal for treatment shortly after 9:15 PM.

The vehicle was removed from scene by 9:41 PM and all Middlebury fire units and crew members were able to head back to their station at that same time.
