Vehicle Accident Reported in Liberty Township

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, PA – A single vehicle accident occurred along the Route 15 Highway possibly in the southbound lane near Mile Marker 165 on Tuesday, December 23 2025, a few minutes before noon.

A female driver reported that she had spun out and lost control before she ended up striking the guide rail an becoming confined inside her vehicle in Liberty Township.

Both Liberty and Blossburg fire crews were responded to the crash as well as an ambulance from Blossburg.

Fire personnel arrived on scene by 12:08 PM and confirmed that the vehicle was off roadway and into the guide rail in that area. The passing lane was blocked off by arriving fire units to keep those working on scene a bit safer.

The female driver was extricated from her vehicle by firefighters by 12:10 PM.

It was said that Broughton’s Towing Service was requested by the owner of the vehicle, as the vehicle was disabled in the accident.

FNN could not confirm if the driver was transported to the local hospital or not. However, the Blossburg ambulance did return to their station and did not transport anyone anywhere.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the crash site by 12:21 PM. All fire and EMS personnel were able to head back to their stations by 1:18 PM.
