PSP-Towanda Release – October 2025.
SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA – Back on Sunday, August 31, 2025, around 3:39 PM, at a location on Reber Road in Smithfield Township, a 32-year-old female of Ulster, PA related to Pennsylvania State Police that she was in a verbal argument that turned physical, with her husband. The victim’s husband was listed as 28-year-old Ryan Elliott of Ulster, PA.
According to the police release, Elliott allegedly grabbed his wife by the throat around her windpipe and squeezed, put her in a head lock and then punched her multiple times in the face.
Elliott was taken into custoday and transported to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on a parole detainer. Charges were filed through MDJ Wilcox’s office.
Ryan Elliott was charged with the following;
- 2nd Degree Misdemeanor – Strangulation – Applying Pressure to Throat or Neck.
- 2nd Degree Misdemeanor – Simple Assault.
- Summary – Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact.
A monetary bail for Elliott was set at $50,000 which he was unable to pay.
