Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Release – Monday, March 30, 2026.
CHEMUNG COUNTY, NY – The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 50-year-old Kerry Lynn Churchman, of Towanda, PA, as a Fugitive from Justice out of the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for Failure To Appear on the charge of Lead Offense Retail Theft – Take Merchandise.
On March 30, 2026, the Criminal Investigations Division received the warrant from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, requesting that Churchman, who is currently Incarcerated in the Chemung County Jail, be held on the warrant. Churchman was subsequently arrested and processed as a Fugitive from Justice.
Churchman was arraigned by the Chemung County Court and remanded back to the Chemung County Jail, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
Individual is to be presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
