ELMIRA, NY – The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 41-year-old Robert J. McKay, of Southport, NY, as a Fugitive from Justice from Tioga County, PA, for a Parole Violation on the original charge of DUI: Controlled Substance of Metabolite, 2nd offense.
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office was made aware that McKay, who is currently incarcerated in the Chemung County Jail on unrelated charges, had an active extraditable Bench Warrant through Tioga County, PA. This information was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division, and McKay was subsequently arrested and processed as a Fugitive from Justice.
McKay is currently remanded at the Chemung County Jail and will appear in the Chemung County Court at a later date regarding the extradition to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
