Shooting Incident in Williamsport – Public’s Assistance Requested

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – On Sunday, April 12, 2026, at approximately 2217 hours, the Williamsport Bureau of Police Patrol Division responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of 4th Avenue.

Prior to arrival, it was reported that two individuals, believed to be juveniles, were seen fleeing the area, as well as a small grey SUV leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers made contact with a juvenile victim who reported being shot at by an unknown passenger in the grey SUV. Fortunately, the victim was not struck.

The Williamsport Bureau of Police is seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact Agent Josh Bell at 570-327-7541. Additionally, residents in the surrounding areas, including the 900 block of High Street, 4th Avenue, 3rd Avenue, and  the 900 block of Louisa Street, are encouraged to check their residential camera systems for any footage that may be useful in this case.   Any information provided will be instrumental in helping the authorities investigate this incident and ensure the safety of our community.
