DA Wilson Release issued January 28, 2026.
BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – 46-year-old Jesse Gallagher of Sheshequin Township, was convicted by a Bradford County jury of multiple felony sex offenses against a child on Friday, January 23, 2026, following a two day criminal jury trial.
The victim, who is only nine years old, testified that she was awakened multiple times to Gallagher sexually abusing her. These incidents occurred in 2024 when she was living with Gallagher and he was responsible for the supervision of the child.
Gallagher was accused of similar offenses against two children back in 2011. Although Gallagher was not successfully prosecuted for those offenses in 2011, those two prior victims (who are now adults) testified that Gallagher sexually abused them similarly when they were children.
Gallagher was already a convicted felon prior to his January 23rd guilty verdict. He was convicted in 2016 of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and other drug related charges. Gallagher served approximately seven years in a Pennsylvania state prison, and he was on parole when he committed the 2024 sex offenses.
Gallagher was found guilty of two counts of Felony 1 Attempted Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child less than 13 years of age, two counts of Felony 1 Attempted Statutory Sexual Assault, and one count of Felony 3 Corruption of Minors. He faces maximum penalties of as much as forty years incarceration for each count of Attempted Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, twenty years incarceration for each count of Attempted Statutory Sexual Assault, and seven years incarceration for Corruption of Minors. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
This case was investigated and charged by Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police.
