
Ronald D. Ives, age 78, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at The Gatehouse Hospice Center in Williamsport, PA. He was born on July 8, 1947, in Quakertown, PA, a son of Clayton and Susan (Tarantino) Ives. Ronald was the husband of Karen (Kane) Ives.
He worked as a lineman and installer with Verizon and was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #1147. Ronald liked tinkering with anything mechanical. He had a lifelong love of Harley-Davidsons and Corvettes. He enjoyed golf and loved spending time with his family, especially attending his great-grandchildren’s sporting events.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 48 years; daughter, Hope (Randal) Shabloski of Wellsboro, PA; two that were beloved like his own: Teri (Buck) Walizer and Richard Michael McClure; grandchildren, Paige (Zac Tomb) Fairbanks, Garrett Fairbanks, Katerina Shabloski, and Mikel (Ryan Kleiman) Shabloski; great grandchildren, Devan Fairbanks and Lylah Merrick; brothers, James (Deanna) Ives of Wellsboro, PA, and Raymond (Evelyn) Ives of Summerville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Clayton Ives, and sisters, Norma Coolidge and Katheryn Kennedy.
In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, there will be no services.
