MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Marcus Quaker had the third furthest discus throw in program history to highlight the Mansfield Mountaineer men’s track and field team on day two of the Millersville Metrics on Saturday, April 4.
Quaker finished fifth in the event with a throw of 41.99 meters. Calvin Cragle and Joey Biviano had throws of 36.39 meters and 35.72 meters respectively.
Quaker would also set a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.48. He would finish third.
Cragle and Biviano also threw in the shot put. Cragle finished sixth with a 14.59 and Biviano had a mark of 11.78 meters.
Pius Adomako Jr. and Will Posey III had top ten finishes in the high jump with heights of 1.80 meters (fifth) and 1.60 meters (ninth).
Cahsid Raymond finished second in the 100-meter dash with a 10.72 time in the finals.
Raymond was joined by Dominic Bill (11.25), Adomako (11.36), Dorrian McCargo (11.48), Lovett Davenport (11.54), Joseph Frye (11.88), Posey (11.96), Ray Kasili (12.05), Ajani Gibson (12.25), and David Martinez (12.72) in the race.
Bill (23.19), McCargo (23.41), Davenport (23.76), Posey (24.01), Frye (24.21), Gibson (24.40), Josh Culver (25.63) and Martinez (26.57) returned to compete in the 200-meter dash.
Kasili would finish seventh in the long jump with a best mark of 5.98 meters. He was joined by Connor Trimber (11th, 5.82 meters), Culver (20th, 5.82) and Khyre Inman (21st, 5.08).
Trimber and Culver took 10th and 11th in the triple jump with marks of 11.20 meters and 10.70 meters.
McCargo and Fry finished 16th and 17th in the javelin with marks of 35.85 and 35.71 meters.
Mansfield’s 4×100 relay team finished fourth with a time of 44.47 and finished sixth in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 3:44.33.
