Over 500 Without Power In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, PA – Update – Over 500 customers were without power on Thursday, March 5, 2026. FNN provided updates throughout the outage. The last twenty or so outages in the Mansfield area were restored between 10:30 PM and 11:15 PM.

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, well over 500 electric customers lost their power shortly around 3:50 PM, as the local electric company started receiving calls from local residents in Mansfield. A crew was dispatched to the area to investigate the cause and fix it.

As of 7:20 PM, 99% of the outages are in the Mansfield area. Only 1 outage is reported in Charleston Township. There are an estimated of 116 outages in Mansfield Borough and 386 outages in Richmond Township. Housing complexes were not included in the total outage number, FNN has discovered.

Shortly after 4:00 PM an electric crew was seen driving around the Mansfield area trying to locate the cause of the power outage as it continues to rain.

Residents of Tioga View Apartment were lucky enough to have their power restored around 6:30 PM. However, Penelec is still reporting over 500 without power.

The estimated restoration time has already been pushed back rom 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The majority of the Mansfield area had their power restored before 10:00 PM. However, approximately 20 customers still remain without power after 10:00 PM. Hopefully they will have their power restored before midnight.
