Over 120 Without Power In Tioga County, PA

TIOGA, PA – (UPDATE) – Power was restored around 10:00 PM to the majority of those that were hit by a power outage on Friday, December 26, 2025. Most of the 120 who lost power had it restored nearly an hour and a half earlier than expected. As of 1:16 AM approximately 20 to 30 were still reported without power. Those who are still without power at this time, are looking for a very chilly evening, as power was estimated to be reestablished by 10:00 AM Saturday morning.

Well over 100 residents were without power on very cold and icy evening as the weather brought a layer of ice and snow mix that covered everything outside. .

Power along Main Street in Tioga Borough went out around 6:00 PM, No exact number was available but the entire borough was said to have lost power.

118 residents were listed without power in Lawrence Township and surprisingly two locations were without power in Jackson Township.

The largest outage appeared to be along Tioga River Road, and along Route 328 (Junction Cross Road and Charlie Lane). See image provided.

Although estimated restorations for the two residents in Jackson Township estimated to be around 11:00 PM (FNN could not confirm when their power was actually restored. However. the largest outage area, was restored by around 10:00 PM instead the 11:30 PM estimated time. Great job by those linemen who were out in the wicked weather and got things done quickly and safely.
