Shirley Jean Button, age 82 of Lawrenceville, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Born on Saturday, September 4, 1943, in Lawrence Township., she was the daughter of the late Ernest Burrows and Eloise (Miller) Gardner.
Shirley liked to be out and about, always shopping and going to yard sales.
She is survived by her children, Manuel and Lori Burrows of Lawrenceville, William Burrows of Lawrenceville, Kenneth and Crystal Button of Monroeton, PA and JoAnn and David Vargeson of Tioga; grandchildren, Marcus Sunderland, Megan Hauber, Brendon Hauber, Austin Campbell, Melisha Button, Katie Button, Joshua (Rachael), Natasha, Kara, Eric and Derek Vargeson, Dakota Button, David and Cory Sherman and Drew Nichols; great grandchildren, Ethan, Peyton, Bryer, London, Skyler, Macie and Kenslee; sisters, Rose and Paul Neally, Roxy Miller, Iris Bower and Sandy Cushing and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley was preceded in death by a son, David Button; sister, Julia Farr; brothers, Franklin and Ernest Burrows, Jr. and a granddaughter, Kiri Vargeson.
In honoring Shirley’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Elkland, PA.
