Sharon Steves, age 81, of Gillett, PA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Guthrie Corning Hospital in Corning, NY, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Monday, April 10, 1944, in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Karl and Bernice (Ameigh) Teribury.
Sharon was married to the late Thomas Steves. She worked as an LPN at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, and was a member of Gillett Baptist Church. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, and she attended His Tabernacle Church in Horseheads, NY.
Sharon is survived by her son, Thomas “Chicken” Steves of Sayre, PA; three daughters, Tammy Stone of Gillett, PA, Suzette Wheeler of Elmira, NY, and Jan (Scott) Austin of Horseheads, NY; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Mazikeen Alexander; two sisters, Leatrice Packard and Vivian Abbott; two brothers, Ronald and Neil Teribury; and two sons-in-law, Jeffrey Stone and Chris Harrington.
Friends and family gathered together on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Gillett Baptist Church located at 33241 Route 14 in Gillett, PA. The funeral service was officiated by Pastor Ozzie Paul Osgood.
