Sandra “Sandy” (Bramm) Bechtel, age 73, of Covington, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on August 11, 1952 in Pottstown, PA, a daughter of Roy and Barbara (Dunn) Bramm.
Sandy was married to the late Thomas “Tom” Richard Bechtel. She worked as a cook for Southern Tioga School District and enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles with her family, bus trips, helping on her daughter’s farm, hunting, and being outdoors.
Sandy is survived by her son, Stacy (Mary) Bechtel of Covington, PA; a daughter, Colleen (Jody) Devine of Mainesburg, PA; four grandchildren, Stephen Wilcox of Covington, PA, Kaitlin (Kevin) Moppert of Greene, NY, Joseph (Alexis) Devine of Woodhull, NY, and Gunner Bechtel of Covington, PA; great grandchildren, Colton Wilcox, Maxwell Devine, Masir Quinn, Logan West, Owen Moppert, Savanna Wilcox, Jedson Devine, and Jarrett Devine; mother, Barbara Bramm of Covington, PA; boyfriend Ivan Remington of New Albany, PA; three brothers, Roy (Barbara) Bramm, Jr. of Pottstown, PA, Kenneth Bramm of Covington, PA, and William “Billie” Bramm of Sanatoga, PA; two sisters, Debra (Curt Heaps) Lefelhoc of Mansfield, PA, and Kathy (Kevin) Starks of Mansfield, PA; brothers-in-law John (Beverly) Bechtel of Pottstown, PA and Gene (Libby) Bechtel of Pottstown, PA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
The family would like to give a special thank you to niece Brandi Brady of Cheyenne, Wyoming, for taking care of Sandy at her home, as well as her sister Kathy. A very special thank you as well to all the doctors, nurses, and employees that helped take care of Sandy at the Corning Hospital, Robert Packer Hospital, and Troy Community Hospital.
