Russell G. Outman, 85, of Westfield, PA, died Friday, February 27, 2026, in UPMC Cole Hospital in Coudersport, PA. Born on Sunday, March 3, 1940, in Blossburg, PA, he was the son of Russell L. and Marjorie S. Cook Outman.
In 1983, in Westfield, Russell married Dorothy Burdick, who survives.
He was a 1958 graduate of Northern Potter High School. He was employed by Turbodyne in Wellsville, NY, Ingersoll-Rand in Painted-Post, NY, Outman Brothers Construction, as well as, owned and operated Seals in Westfield, PA. Russell was also a self-employed excavating contractor.
Russell coached baseball in Westfield for many years. He was a member of International Benchrest Shooters.
Surviving besides his wife, Dorothy, are: three children, Russell “Rusty” Outman of Wrightsville, Todd (Jennifer) Outman of Wellsboro, and Kim Yaeger of Crossville, TN; two step-daughters, Darcy (Tracy) Atwell of Westfield and Darlene (Gene) Mead of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Ofner of Westfield; a brother, David (Susan) Outman of Smethport; two nieces and a nephew.
