
Ross R. Hawn, Jr., 67, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at home. He was born on September 7, 1958, in Trenton, NJ, to Ross R. and Margaret (Nay) Hawn.
He earned his associate’s degree, and built a 46 year career working maintenance at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. On November 5, 1988, he married Mary Kay Danneker with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.
Ross was a member of the Wellsboro Riding Club, the Tioga Bass Anglers Club, the Coast Guard Aux., the Mansfield Hose Company, the first volunteer paramedic in Tioga County, the VFW Aux., the Civil Air Patrol, and the Lambs Creek Sportsman Club. Ross was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed shooting, he served on the Lambs Creek Sportsman Club board of directors, and enjoyed organizing events for the club.
Ross is survived by his wife: Mary Kay Hawn of Mansfield; his mother: Margaret Hawn-Miller of Mansfield; a daughter: Linda (Ryan) Dishman of Elizabeth City, NC; a granddaughter: Maddy Dishman of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters: Donna M. (Marty) Hines of Montoursville, and Karen E. (Edward III) Cias of Mansfield; a half-brother: Jeremy (Bethany) Hawn of Wellsboro a sister-in-law: Nell Hawn of Wellsboro; nephews: Curtis (Rosa) Hines of Williamsport, and John (Gwyneth) Hawn of Honey Brook, PA, and a niece: Bella Hawn of Wellsboro. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother: Alan Hawn, Sr.;and a nephew: Alan Hawn, Jr;.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Ross from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home at 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA 16901.
