Nancy Louise Helfrich, age 82 of Westfield, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Born on June 9, 1944, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Lillian S. (Frantz) Daniel.
Nancy graduated from Parkland High School, class of 1963. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Gerald J. Helfrich, in July of 1963. Together, they shared 57 beautiful years of marriage and a lifetime of memories until his passing on October 28, 2020.
Nancy was a remarkably dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker who possessed an unyielding work ethic. While deeply devoted to raising her children, she also worked a variety of jobs over the years. As a teenager, she got her start at the W.T. Grant 5 and Dime and Howard Johnson’s. Through the years, her hard work took her to the Allen Organ Company, the Royal Company, Caloric, Wagner Electric, and service as a U.S. Mail substitute carrier. She ultimately retired from Broad Acres Nursing Home as the housekeeper.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Nancy found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her gardening and flowers, going fishing and camping, and gathering around warm campfires.
One of her favorite pastimes was sitting quietly on her back porch, watching the birds visit her yard. Above all else, her greatest passion and source of happiness was spending cherished time with her family.
Nancy’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a deeply faithful and active member of the River of Life Fellowship Church.
