Obituary of Mark H. Seeley of Knoxville, PA

Mark H. Seeley, age 92, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was born on January 23, 1933, and was a son to Ralph and Harriet (Preston) Seeley.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Jean (Mark) Kohut of Elkland, PA; son, Edward Seeley of Osceola, PA; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Freiwald, Michele (Keith) Phillips, Ashley (Michael) Gray, Allison Seeley and Austin Seeley; along with 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; and daughter, Candy Lynn Faught; along with siblings, Robert Seeley, Marion Newberry, Marlene Palumbo, Helen Pratt, and Gail Druetto. 


Mark served in the U.S. Army during The Korean Era, he worked at the Elkland Tannery, and he retired from CNG Transmission in 1994.

He was a lifetime farmer – raising dairy and beef cattle. Mark was a member of the Potter and Tioga Farm Bureau, CV Saddlemans Club, PA Cattlemen’s Association and a member of the Valley Grange. He was also a lifetime member of the Osceola Fire Department.

Mark enjoyed hunting and going on hunting trips out West, along with fishing trips to Canada. He was always available to help a friend or neighbor. 


The family would like to say Thank You to all nurses, aides and staff during his time at the Wellsboro Green Home and to the hospice care team along with his in home caretakers.


Family and friends are called to Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St, Elkland, PA on Friday, November 14, 2025, for visitation from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2 PM with Reverend Harry Dow officiating. Mark will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Knoxville, PA. 

Memorial donations may be made in Mark’s honor to the Osceola Fire Department, 7654 State Rte 49, Osceola, PA 16942. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
