Obituary of Josef David Lindner of Elkland, PA

Josef David Lindner, age 44 of Elkland, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on June 1, 1981 in Perkasie, PA and was a son to David Lindner and Teresa ‘Terri’ Renninger. 

After Joe graduated highschool in Quakertown, PA he went on to trade school where he received his certification in plumbing and heating. He worked at Ward Manufacturing for a handful of years until he went off to work at West Lake Manufacturing as a Purge Operator.

On October 1, 2016, Joe married Billie Jolea Sweet, they spent 20 loving years together from the start of their relationship in 2005.

Joe enjoyed playing video games – especially Diablo 4, being with his dogs, tinkering and fixing things around his home, going to concerts, and listening to rock music.

He loved retelling stories from his 2014 vacation trip to Arizona with his family. Most of all he loved spending time with Billie and his sons, they were his whole world. He also enjoyed spending time playing with his great niece, Niss, when she came to the house. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Billie Jolea Sweet of Elkland; sons, Dylan Abbey of Elkland and Skyler Lang-Sweet of Lawrenceville, PA; his dad, David (Sylvia) Lindner of Telford, PA; sisters, Paula Lindner (Tony Brown) of Westfield, PA and Alyse Wolfe; sister-in-law, Lynnette (George) Heckler of Osceola, PA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his mother, Terri Vallier; a sister, Beth Weaton; and his paternal grandmother. 

Family and friends are called to Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St, Elkland, PA 16920 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 for visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
