John H. Sproule, age 65 of Tioga, PA, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at his home. John was born on Thursday, October 20, 1960, in Elmira, NY, a son of James and Frances (Deery) Sproule. He was the husband of the late Wanda (Benson) Sproule, who passed in June of 2022.
John worked as a carpenter for the Carpenter’s union. He was a member of the Off Kilter Side-by-Side club and enjoyed spending time with his family.
John is survived by his sons, Joshua (Jess Balmer) Sproule of Pine City, NY, William (Taylor Howey) Sproule of Wyalusing, PA, and John Wayne (Sheena Loud) Sproule of Corning, NY; daughter, Krystal (Tyler) Stickler of Lawrenceville, PA; daughter-in-law Megan (Tim Cleveland) Sproule of Elmira, NY; siblings, Jamie Bower of Tioga, PA, James A. Sproule of Pine City, NY, Kimberly (Michael) Kinney of Horseheads, NY, and Kevin (Melissa “Missy” Sproule of Caton, NY; many grandchildren, a handful of great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother-in-law, Chuck.
