
James D. McLean, age 79 of Knoxville, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home. Son of Edgar and Mary (Davis) McLean, he was born on Tuesday, January 22, 1946, in Elkland, PA.
Jim graduated with the class of 1964. He married Roxanne Wilson on August 11, 2009. and retired from Corning Inc. as a Steuben Glass Blower.
He was a past member of Cowanesque Valley Rod and Gun and the Elkland Moose Lodge, up until his stroke in 2009. He was also a lifetime member of Knoxville VFW Post 6753.
Jim loved to play drums, fly his power parachute plane, and golf. He was a Vietnam Veteran, served in the Navy. He enlisted in July 1964 as Boatswain Mate aboard the USS Chicago.
Jim is survived by his wife, Roxi; daughters, Jamie (Kevin) Wilson and Misty Wilson; son, Joshua McLean; grandkids, Cori (Corey) Martin of Elkland, Daniel Wilson of Nelson, Jared Hurd of Mansfield, Bryce and Sophie Wheatcraft of Tioga, PA; siblings, Evelyn Morseman of Osceola, Brian (Irene) McLean of Elkland, Ed (Sandy) McLean of Elkand, Nancy (Lyle) Burrell of Elkland, David (Mert) McLean of Wellsboro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as his Sunday coffee buddies, Mike Kohut and Bayard Lozier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; brother-in-law, Walter Morseman; and nephew, Randy Morseman.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with more information to follow. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
