Grover Cleveland Obituary

Grover Cleveland, 98, passed away at Broad Acres in Wellsboro, PA, on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

He was born Saturday, February 18, 1928, in Covington, PA, the first son of Sanford “Pete” Cleveland and Doris Brockway Cleveland.

Grover is survived by brother Wilbert “Pete” Cleveland, nephew David (Kim) Cleveland and many nieces, nephews, cousins and church family members and friends.

Grover careers include many years at Ingersol Rand in Painted Post, and also many years of devoted service to his hometown, Covington and beyond.

His contributions to and membership in local organizations have included Grange, County Historical Society, Covington Community Center, Mansfield Food Pantry, Shriners. Masons, as well as Putman Township activities

He has been a long and strong member of the Covington Church of Christ since 1947 and Grover played many roles in supporting and repairing and also in providing music over the many decades.

Family and friends paid their respects on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and a service was held at noon in the Covington Church of Christ. Interment was held at the Gray Cemetery in Covington.
