



David Thompson, age 68, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Monday, December 17, 1956, in Sayre, PA, a son of Ronald and Mary Lou (Levanowitz) Thompson.
David was the husband of Annette M. (Wood) Thompson. He worked in the quality control department at Ward Manufacturing and was involved in many community organizations through the years. David was the chairman of the Blossburg Coal Festival and co-owned Momma’s Restaurant with his wife, Annette. He was a big Cowboys fan, and loved the car show at the Blossburg State Coal Festival. His Ram truck “Baby” and his dogs, Sinn and Cooper, were very dear to him.
David is survived by his wife; sons, David (April) Thompson and Steven (Linda) Thompson, all of Blossburg, PA; five grandchildren, Kylah (Stephanie) Thompson, Brady Thompson, Kail Thompson, Mason Thompson, and Maddalyn Thompson; brother, Doug Thompson of Waymart, PA; sisters, Judy Shaffer of Waymart, PA, Tammy (Aaron) Faulkner of Mansfield, PA, Nicola (Frank) Scavello of Mt. Pocono, PA, and Heidi (Dan) Jenkins of Mansfield, PA; stepfather, David Minor of Waymart, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Todd Thompson.
Friends and family gathered together on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., in Mansfield, PA. A memorial service was held at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Patrick Parsons officiating. Burial will take place in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com.
