Colleen M. (O’Hara) Johnston, age 77, of Mansfield, PA, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Colleen was born on Saturday, December 25, 1948, in Canton, PA, a daughter of William and Marie (Loyd) O’Hara.
Colleen married the love of her life, Ernest “Ernie” Johnston on June 29, 1968. In which they celebrated 57 years of marriage in June. She worked at Kingdom Inc. in Mansfield, PA, for over two decades before retiring to pursue things that she enjoyed. She enjoyed “supervising” home projects, sewing, cooking, camping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Ernie; their two daughters, Suzanne M. Fox of Tioga, PA, and Lisa Ann Wilson of Mansfield, PA; a brother, Jon Michael “Mick” (Joanne) O’Hara of Canton, PA; 6 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren and her beloved puppies, Lily and Violet. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carol Ann Atkins, and a grandson, Timothy Johnston.
A private celebration of life will be held at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA with Rev. Harry J. Colegrove officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com.
