Brenda Lee (Bartholomew) Hopkins, 64, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026,, in her home surrounded by family after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Thursday, January 11, 1962, in Wellsboro, PA, to Bruce and Ruth (Bacon) Bartholomew.
She graduated from Wellsboro High School, and on August 21, 1984, married Ralph Hopkins with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Brenda worked and volunteered in many caretaking positions throughout the community including teaching preschool at Wellsboro Montessori and delivering oxygen for CPO2. She enjoyed camping, socializing and motorcycle rides, and was active volunteering in Relay For Life, but Brenda especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Brenda is survived by her husband: Ralph Hopkins of Wellsboro; two daughters: Heather Callahan (Joseph) of Wellsboro, and Brandy Hirsh (Michael) of Wellsboro; three grandchildren: Josephine Callahan, Samuel Callahan, and Brooks Hirsh; a brother: Bruce Bartholomew, Jr. (Karen) of Wellsboro; and many friends including her very best friend: Myra Pino of Covington. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson: Paxton Callahan.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Brenda’s life from 4pm-6pm on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home located at 139 Main Street in Wellsboro, PA, with a funeral service to follow at 6pm in the funeral home.
