Bonnie A. Gigee, age 70 of Westfield, PA, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was born on Friday, June 10, 1955, in Blossburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Harold and Joyce L. (Houghtaling) Hanes.
Bonnie married Eugene Simon Gigee and they shared 51 years together. A true “jack of all trades,” Bonnie was known for her tireless work ethic. Throughout her life, she worked in various local factories and served her community as a waitress, cook, and bartender. Above all, she was a dedicated homemaker who took pride in caring for her family, whether it was cooking a good meal, watching football with Simon, tending to her flower gardens or spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed vacationing, taking a good nap and was a member of the Galeton VFW.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Simon; children, Dena and Kevin Palys of Olean, NY, Marnae and Jim Fee of Lindley, NY, Simon Gigee of Westfield, Eugene “Fonz” and Brandy Hanes of Lancaster, Melissa and David Reynolds of Westfield and Glenda Gigee of Westfield; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; her siblings, Donald Hanes, Joseph Hanes, Connie Tillinghast, Goldia Wiliford and Darcy Hanes and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene, James, Gregory, Edward, Mary, Eva and Etta Hanes.
Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield, PA on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 4:00 PM.
