Ardath A. “Sundae” Reidy, age 73, of Mansfield, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, with loved ones by her side. She was born on October 2, 1952, in Hartford, CT, a daughter of Horace and June (Hardy) Martin. A graduate of Mansfield High School, Sundae was the wife of the late John “Jack” Reidy who passed away on January 13, 2013, and the proud mother of Matthew (Johna) Neal and Ryan (Alanda) Neal. One of the greatest joys in her life was being a grandma to Macy, Jaylynn, Jayc, Bently and Rivers Neal. She enjoyed watching her grandkids’ activities, rarely missing a game, concert, or horse show.
Sundae was a talented crafter, painter, and floral artist. After retiring as manager from nearly 20 years of service at the Walmart vision Center, she returned to a passion for plants and flowers by working at her nephew, Jeff Martin’s Roadside Stand. From there, she went on to work at Special Occasions Florists where she developed instant, family-like friendships.
Sundae will be missed by those who knew and loved her for her generosity, handmade gifts, home-cooked foods, thoughtfulness, sass, shopping trips, Benedicts’ bus trips, friendship and unconditional love.
Sundae is survived by her sons, Matthew and Ryan Neal of Mansfield, PA; brother, Guy (Cheryl) Martin of Mansfield, PA; five grandchildren; many special nephews and nieces, and many other dear family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; sister, Barb (Wayne) Harrington; and brothers, Horace Jr. “Skip” (Cathy), Earl “Tim”, Ted (Mary), John (Sheila), and infant Jeff Martin.
