SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Mansfield University men’s track and field team competed on February 14th, at the SU Valentine’s Invite hosted by Susquehanna University, in Selinsgrove Pa.
Cahsid Raymond took on long jump taking first place with a mark of 7.05 meters.
Raymond also competed in the 60m dash taking first place with a best time in the prelims with 6.85.
Pius Adomako Jr. and Jerry Holmes Jr. finished in gold and silver with tied heights of 1.83 meters.
Marcus Quaker raced the 60m hurdles taking fourth with 8.65.
Calvin Cragle led in shot put with a final place of third and a mark of 14.63 meters.
Two troupes finished fifth and eighth in the 4×200 meter. Team A (Dorrian McCargo, Holmes Jr., Adomako Jr., and Gibson) recorded a time of 1:36.05. Team B (Lovett Davenport, Will Posey III, Antonio Green Jr. and Kasili) followed with 1:40.37.
Dominic Bill (9th – 6.27m), Ajani Gibson (5.86m), Ray Kasili (5.74m) and Joseph Frye (5.61m) all competed in long jump as well.
McCargo placed 11th during the 200-meter with 23.92, Dominic Bill with 24.17, Joseph Frye with 24.59 and Kasili with 24.99.
Gibson finished 13th in the Triple jump with 12.22 meters.
Joey Biviano collected a personal best in shot put with a mark of 12.03 meters. That mark sets him in the ninth furthest mark in program history.
McCargo (7.25) contributed in the 60m, along with Davenport (7.36), Green (7.48) and Frye (7.63).
Rylan Ebner led the pack of Mounties in the mile with 4:57.46. Nic Mattison (4:58.35), Derek Simpson (5:12.23) and Greysen Kupsky (5:13.97) finished behind.
Ibrahim Sheriff (54.05), Posey III (59.94) and David Martinez (1:09.26) all raced the 400 meter.
Mattison ran a 2:15.21 in the 800-meter finishing 35th overall.
Ebner once again held the front spot for the Mountaineers in the 3,000 meters finishing with 10:06.89, Simpson at 10:28.75 and Kupsky at 10:49.84.
A quartet of Adomako Jr., Raymond, Gibson and Quaker finished fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:31.97.
Posey III had his second week in high jump finishing at a maximum height of 1.73 meters.
