TIOGA, PA – One person was injured in a motorcycle crash on Friday, August 28, 2026, around 5:13 PM. Fire crews from Tioga, Lawrenceville and Middlebury Center, PA, were dispatched to a single accident in Tioga Township. An ambulance from Mansfield Hose Company was also requested.
The crash involving a motorcycle was reported along Route 287 near the Bear Creek Road intersection.
The motorcycle came to rest off the roadway and the motorcyclist suffered a leg injury,
Tioga fire personnel started arriving on scene around 5:19 PM and Middlebury fire units were requested to hold at their station, as additional Tioga and Lawrenceville units continued to the accident scene. By 5:26 PM Middlebury fire units were recalled and even the Mansfield ambulance unit were all recalled as they were not needed. Lawrenceville and Tioga fire and EMS crews were able to handle the scene and care for the patient.
Around 5:27 PM the Pennsylvania State Police arrived on scene, as did the ambulance from Tioga.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to Corning Hospital by Tioga Ambulance crew who were joined by a Wellsboro medic.
The scene was turned over o Pennsylvania State Police and all fire units from Tioga and Lawrenceville were cleared to return to their stations around 5:50 PM.
