DA Wilson Release issued February 7, 2026.
BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – 40-year-old Dustin Allen Westbrook who is already residing in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, was sentenced to an overall minimum of 18 months to a maximum of six years for multiple offenses. Those offenses included Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Endangerment of Another Person, as well as Accident Involving Damage to an Attended Vehicle, and Driving While License is Suspended or Revoked, DUI related.
According to police and court records, Westbrook was charged with the offenses by Towanda Borough Police Officer Clint Vermilya back in February of 2025. Westbrook was spotted on the Merrill Parkway failing to use a turn signal; when the Officer tried to affect a traffic stop, Westbrook sped away reaching speeds of up to 85 mph. The Officer recognized Westbrook and knew Westbrook to have a suspended license also, which was another reason for the Officer to stop Westbrook. The Officer identified Westbrook as the driver but could also tell that there were other occupants in the vehicle, and despite the presence of other persons in the car, Westbrook sped away and eventually crashed the car on Old Mills Road.
Westbrook had previous convictions dating back to 2005 for offenses such as Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Thefts, Drugs, Fleeing and Attempting to Allude and multiple other driving offenses.
