MANSFIELD, PA – Lowe’s Home Improvement in Richmond Township is hosting their annual First Responders Event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM in the parking lot of the Lowe’s store, which is located at 2165 South Main Street in Mansfield, PA.
Tentatively scheduled to be at the event are several ambulance units or fire apparatus from Blossburg, Elkland, Lawrenceville, Liberty, Mansfield, Morris, Nelson, and Tioga Fire departments. Also set to appear at the First Responders Event are police patrol units from Blossburg, Mansfield, Mansfield University Campus Police, Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, and Pennsylvania State Police.. Likewise, representatives from the Laurel Mountain K-9 Search and Rescue will be in attendance.
New this year will be Chuck & Weezer’s Wood Fired BBQ out of Roaring Branch, PA, with their food trailer. (See menu in images provided).
There will be two demonstrations where firefighters will use the Jaws of Life to show onlookers how they use the tool in gaining access to victims trapped or confined inside a vehicle. Those demonstrations will be held around 11:30 AM and then again at 12:30 PM.
A special thanks to Costy’s who will be donating the two vehicles to be used for the Jaws of Life demonstrations by local firefighters.
If you happen to drive by Lowe’s this Saturday, and see all the emergency vehicles in their parking lot do not be alarmed, just remember to swing in and see what is going on and join in with the whole family or drop in by yourself to check everything out.
